Once you are in the country, your first night in San Jose is prebooked., and you will be supplied with 6 hotel vouchers (coupons), road maps, and a rental vehicle. A Costa Rican Trails representative will meet with you to discuss the quickest and/or most scenic routes to reach your destinations of choice, as well as brief you on what to expect while in the country. Then you are off to explore on your own!!
Under this category of All Time Favorites, you will have a choice of 124 hotels to choose from!. In order to receive the discounted rates, advance bookings at the selected hotels are not accepted. You may however; call in advance to see if a room is available, but the hotel reserves the right to accept or deny the reservation based on the space availability. When calling or checking in, you must identify yourself as a Costa Rican Trails Flexi-Drive client.

Day 02 San José – Flexi-drive
Briefing at the Hotel and discussion of the best route and choices of hotels. A 4x4 vehicle will be dropped off at the hotel and then you are off to explore Costa Rica on your own.

Day 03-07 Flexi-Drive
Drive through scenic Costa Rica and experience its natural wonders and adventurous landscapes. You have a choice of 109 hotels scattered throughout the most visited and popular areas of the country. Some of the areas included are: Arenal, Monteverde, Jaco, Guanacaste, Sarapiqui, Montezuma, Manuel Antonio among others.
